Built with Spline
- lots of spheres and cones
- a handful of cubes
- attempted to use cylinders, a torus, and a pyramid
- lots of subdivisions to smooth out the polygons
- some insets and extrusions
Easiest to build:
- head
- body
- ears
- nails
- teeth
- eyes
Most difficult to build/shape:
- body shape - it’s like a fat tear drop in the beginning of mitosis or something.
- the arrow shaped part of its face.
Most difficult to position:
- nails
- white parts of its face and belly
- lip created as a bit of an extrusion of its face. I had to ‘grab’ the face and pull it outward.
- contouring its eyes to the shape of its face
I’m definitely considering doing more projects with Snorlax in the future, in different scenes and poses by reusing this instance. For now I’m thinking of which Pokemon to try modeling next. I’ll likely stick to the younger evolution forms for now since they have simpler geometries and are great for practice.
